Major Services done by the Land Division

Local Government Institutions - Cemeteries - Playgrounds - Transfer of Government Corporations

2. Appendix 13
3. Cadastral map or tracing
4. Report on the transfer of lands under Regulation 26 of the State Land Ordinance
5. Consent of the Commissioner of Local Government
6. Recommendation of the Central Environmental Authority
7. Recommendation of the Medical Officer of Health
8. Recommendation of the Director of Urban and Rural Design
9. NBRO Report - (Playgrounds)

All the above documents along with the original should be submitted in two copies by the Provincial Land Commissioner to the Land Commissioner General for approval.

All documents should be certified as authentic by the Divisional Secretary or Assistant Divisional Secretary.

Once approved, the transfer order will receive an assignment order. The transfer order will be sent to the Land Registrar, registered and returned. A copy of the registered transfer order should be sent to the relevant institution.

Functions performed to the retirement community through the pension division

Civil and military pension functions

- Obtaining Grama Niladhari Reports and Other Defective Documents after Receiving the Pension File

- Amendment ten year salaries and other pensions after completing 10 years of retirement

- Payment of monthly pension to the heir after the death of the retiree.

- Elimination of pension anomalies.

 Widow / Widower Pension Functions

- Formulation of Widow / Widow's Pension to Widow / Widower after the death of the retiree.

- Formulation of orphan pensions for unemployed children below 26 years of age in the absence of both parents.

- Conducting preliminary inquiries into the payment of disability pensions.

- Release of bank books of orphans who have completed 18 years of age.

General functions

- Monthly pension payment activities

- Issuing train licenses for retirees. (Three sets of train permits are issued to retirees annually.)

- Obtaining Annual Residence Certificate

- Issuing salary reports

- Maintenance of pension files and other files

- Sending reports related to pension payments
